What Motivates You...Track The Tank Giveaway!!

So a few many months back I was contacted by Tia over at Hands On, Pants Off and Candra at Camo & Lipstick about this awesome idea to get together a bunch of bloggers all over the U.S. and put together a giveaway.  It's kind of like that movie, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but with a workout tank.

It started way back in the beginning of fall and has traveled all over getting tagged up and helping us stay motivated.  You can read my "What Motivates You" post here.
But I'll give you a hint.... It's these beauties right here

And now after many long months it's time to finally give this baby away!

So enter below,  good luck, and I love to here what motivates you?

#TrackTheTank

Ok  now check this awesomeness out...
Candra and Tia  came up with a crazy idea to get together a bunch of bloggers all over the U.S. and put together a giveaway.  It's kind of like that movie, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but with a workout tank.

They made a custom tank top, with the hashtag, #TrackTheTank, and it's going to a bunch of awesome bloggers who will sign the shirt, takes a selfie and then write a post about what keeps them motivated to stay in shape, stay healthy, commit to be fit, whatever.

At the end of the journey, it will end up with Tia, and will probably have accumulated a few extra goodies along the way. Who doesn't love some extra goodies.
We will do a GIVEAWAY to one lucky winner to receive the tank top and all the other stuff that came along for the ride.
Pretty cool, huh?

So last week I received the tank from Crystal @ Crystal Michelle's Mess.

I didn't even need to think about my motivation it's these two right here

 being silly with my girls...

They (along with the hubs of course) are one of my biggest motivating factors.  Not so much to lose weight,  but more of being a healthy role model for them.  I may not be a size 4, 6, or hell even a 10 but they see me at the gym, running races, and doing a ton of fun activities with them and with friends.

My oldest TaTa and I have a Sunday ritual of going hiking then the farmers market, and of course we now run races together.  We have even done a half together too!

DQ and I love to ride bikes and go to the park or swimming.

My goal is to be here for a long time and show them a healthy, fun lifestyle, that even a crazy busy mom can keep up with.  And that it may not be perfect all the time but as long as you try everyday to do your best and keep moving!

Now I get to send off the tank to the one and only Mama Laughlin!!  (I know can you believe it) How awesome is that.  So go check out some of these awesome ladies and see what keeps them going.

Candra @ Camo and Lipstick
Angela @ Mean Ang
Jasmine @ Fleurty and Fit
Aubrey Leigh @ ALG Uninterrupted
Brandi @ Mama Laughlin
Tracie @ Tracie Everyday
Bailey @ Bailey McKenzie
and finally, Tia.

Zombies, Sister Wives, and Fairytales

  • Howdy all... sorry I've been MIA but remember when I said I was watching T.V like it was my job,  yeah well lets say I turned into a workaholic.  I blew through seasons worth of Once Upon a Time (great show for this Disney girl), Top Chef (yumm), Walking Dead (oohh zombies), and Sister Wives (?I could use a few of those right now?).   This has pretty much been it the last week.

  • I will admit I have got on the scale it was not what I wanted to see 178.9 but I hoping like really really hoping it has some thing to do with lots of fluid retention (I look like I have a beer belly) and this drain thing.. ugg. 3 more days till this sucker is pulled oh crap now I scared my self.  I am eating fairly good I would love to say I was eating perfectly but I would be lying.  A lot of it has to do with boredom.  Though zombies and multiple wives are entertaining I can only take so much at a time, and I have been stuck at home for the most part so it's hard not to want to munch.  A good thing though is I actually have very little "junk"  but I have found a few strays (choc chip cookies hidden in the back of the freezer).
  • I did get out for a walk a finally.  It was very slow going and the Hubs was totally against it but I told him if he didn't let me he would regret it later (I can be a big ol' pain in the ass) and I NEEDED this... like Jack needed a life preserver (10 points to anyone you gets that).  I walked the big block of my house, almost a mile then since I was so close walked up and down the street to make it a full mile.  It took just over 30 minutes I told you it was slow as shit....but it felt AWESOME!!  This is pretty much the only thing I can do right now and even then I was feeling it the next day so I'm trying to take it easy and only do every other day or not quite as long.

  • Besides being an awesome Bruno Mars concert with some football thrown in (if you can call it that) Sunday was the Surf City Half Marathon.  This was the first half I ever ran ...one year ago.  As I was sitting there Saturday night I was remembering that one year ago I was laying out my running gear, I was getting super nervous and flat out scared, but that day turned out fan-flipping-tastic.  I proved to myself that if I work hard I can accomplish anything.  So this year was bitter sweet.  My girls Barbie & CareBear (plus a ton of other friends) I know were running this year and I was stuck home *tears* and the kicker I couldn't even go and be there to cheer them on.  As I was sitting there try to passive aggressively try to talk the hubs into taking me in the morning an Idea came to me.....TADA

  • I made a bunch of these signs and took pictures.  Then I woke up and text my girls, who were running late pfftt... not if I was there (and I told them that...and they agreed lol) but I was able to live track them and since I knew the course I text them the pictures at certain mile markers and durning the tough parts (ie the little hills).  They loved it and I felt like I was apart of it though I wasn't there.

Wednesday Weigh-In & Motivation

button

 Damn I'm up 2 pounds :(   so this week it's 183.8

Oh well I'm not gonna dwell on it I know some of it is that TOM is here and,  the other part is some of that left over retirement party (I did party the crap out of that 10% maybe next time I'll only do a 5% lol)

So with that damn gain it's good that there is a lot of motivation going on in these here parts

Last week I finished up my training sessions with Soben.  She told me she was starting a new type of training session.  Basically it's a boot camp type session dubbed the "Mommy Make-over".

Thank gawd for birthday money (and a hubby that is very understanding of my weight loss goals) I was able to swing it just barley.  And she was able to schedule it for Tuesday and Sundays so I will be able to do both.  SWEET! it's like getting twice as much for the $$.  So I plan on taking full advantage of it and work my ass off  literally.

Then tomorrow we will be starting a "Biggest Loser" contest at work.  It's pretty basic.  You can be an individual $15 or a team $20 , weigh-in's are every Thursday if you gain you "owe the pot" $1 and it's for 9 weeks. Oh and we are doing measurements as well.

If you want to know ALL the nitty gritty here's a pic of the "rules & regs"

I decided to do the work challenge as an individual.  I did try to get CareBear to do a team with me but she wasn't havin it.  (We did this challenge a couple times a few years back and boy towards the end it got ugly.  Chicks bitchen about havin to owe the pot and wanting the money back if the lost it the next day...geeshhh girls come on)  So she is still pissed worried about the "politics and game play" but we have a bunch of new girls and we made sure to reiterate that it's all about motivation and helping others!
